How much will it cost to fix the cv shaft boots in a 1996 honda accord? I need an approximate price on how much it'll be in the USA, California state. How much will it cost to fix the cv shaft boots in a 1996 honda accord? Here's the deal. All CV boots, from the factory are one solid piece, and so you have to remove the entire CV shaft, etc the change them, allot of cost for a really small simple job. Well, some enterprising mechanic/parts designer saw this, and made a CV boot that has a split right down the side, it closes up with some RTV and a seal, like a zip lock baggie- Done! nothing to take apart, well, just the squeeze seals at the ends, and it's installed. Ask for them at your local auto parts store, or call you local NAPA autoparts store, most of those guys/gals are pretty decently educated on auto parts and will know what these are, and were to get them. They should be in stock at NAPA though. There blue in color- saves you a ton of $$$. C.
