My dad's just bought a Honda CBF and the instruction manual is under the seat but we don't know how to get to it because we need the instruction manual to know what to do?

Use the ignition key to unlatch the lock at the rear of the seat, then lift the rear of the pillion seat up and the front of it is held on by hooks. The main seat is held on by bolts. The CBR series - to remove the seat, bend the rear corners of the front seat up, to expose the bolts.
