I have a 1991 Honda Accord with 75,000 miles on it and am planning on driving from Dallas, TX to Dayton, OH this December for Christmas. I just had my battery replaced and regularly have my oil changed. Pretty low miles well just take it to your local mechanic and tell me you want to take her for a long trip , check your tires and fluid levels.
Get a nice map or a GPS for your trip!What should I do to my 91 Honda Accord before a road trip?i would have the oil and filter changed, check all fluid levels (brake, coolant, power steering, screen wash and oil). check your tyre pressures and tread, and dont forget the spare, check your brakes for any faulty/worn components.
if you dont feel confident in doing this yourself, take it to a garage and ask them to give the vehicle the once over.
take with you a petrol can full of petrol, a spare set of spark plugs, make sure you have the vehicles "jack" just incase you have to change a wheel due to a flat tyre and make sure you have the wrench to remove your wheel nuts with, carry a spare set of bulbs and a bottle of water, and take with you a socket and wrench to remove the spark plugs.What should I do to my 91 Honda Accord before a road trip?type into search box
