I have been looking to buy a used 2002-2005 automatic Celica and i have noticed that some have a capital M next to the D on the gear selector and some do not? Also known as E-shift. The car worked the same as an automatic, however the driver could shift the gears as if they were driving a manual transmission by using buttons on the steering wheel. Sort of like Nascar. The car would select the chosen gear with the push of the shift up or shift down buttens and hold the gear you selected even with the tachometer bouncing off redline. There is no clutch as the system is completely electronic. I couldn't find too much info online about it however I know they existed (have seen them in person and online.) Height lies in different places on different people (some it's in the legs, some in the torso...some in the neck), one 300 pound man could have more weight in the legs, another might have it all in the gut, or might have a huge ***. You just can't make a determination that easily.
Also, different people have a different idea of a "good fit." Me, I don't mind if a car wraps around me like a glove. Some people get kind of claustrophobic, and prefer to be sitting in a living room on wheels.

If you are using the term "muscle car" fairly loosely, a V8-powered Mustang II or Chevy Monza/Pontiac Sunbird come pretty close in size. The Monza was a good car. I had a V6 4-speed that was a lot of fun. A V8 would be even funner. Travis C mentioned the Fox-bodied Mustang, another good car, and the Corvair.The Corvair had a bad reputation that was started by Satan... er, I mean Ralph Nader. The car was determined safe by the US government and Nader went on to become a perpetual loser in presidential elections. The Corvair is a little bit bigger than the Toyota, Mustang and Monza. A muscle car is just that.... muscle. They were usually just pedestrian cars with huge, powerful engines. If handling is important to you, you weren't going to find it in an American brand from those years. The Shelby Cobra was about it and even that wasn't completely made in America. Why does my 1995 Toyota Camry temperature gauge always read low? Should I get the thermostat changed?
For some reason the temperature gauge always fluctuates from
cold to just below the mid point of the gauge. I'm not sure if it's the thermostat or the gauge. If you mean it starts low, goes up to that point and stays there, that's normal. If it is actually fluctuating (moves up and down in the same trip), have the thermostat replaced right away. If it is operating incorrectly, it can also stick and cause the engine to overheat.
Midway of the gauge should be about 190F to 200F. Test the temp of the engine at the aluminum housing sticking out of the end of the head over the transmission while the engine is running and hot. It should read somewhere around that, down to 180 is OK. If that is about wher it is, the gauge/sender are OK.
If there is any question on the t-stat, justs replace it. It is a whole lot cheaper than a new engine!

Things like that you need to look out for. If private sale if it says ac just went out or needs freon why did they not put freon in. look undercarpet and look for rust. hurricane cars or floode cars are sold dirt cheap and are worst as wiring will go little by little and can be fixed to look new if not gone over completely. How to program my key and remote on my 04 Toyota 4Runner?

I have a 04 Toyota 4Runner SR5 and I just bought a set of key and remote on E-Bay. Could you please tell me what is best way to program those to my car? Dealer is asking about $90 to do that!!

Was it my transmission or engine problem. There were no alerts on dash board. I got back
in the car and proceeded to drive the car two blocks until I reached my bldg. My garage
attendant didn't notice anything wrong with it. The preferred method of jumpstarting another vehicle, using a Toyota hybrid is:
Turn off both cars.
Take the keys of the car to be jumped, so that the owner doesn't try to start their car on your donor hybrid's battery.
Connect up the jumper cables per the owner's manual of the car that needs to be jumped. It's probably best to go direct with your hybrid's 12v battery terminals, but if you have a NHW20 (2004 and newer) Prius (I don't know if the TCH or the THH have these jumpstart terminals...) you can probably use the under-hood jump points in the fuse box. Watch that polarity!
Turn on the hybrid to READY, so that the gasoline engine can charge the hybrid battery, the hybrid battery can charge the 12v battery, and the 12v battery can charge the dead car's battery. Leave like this for at least 15 minutes to recharge the dead car's battery.
Turn off the hybrid, and disconnect all the jumper cables.
Try starting the dead car using its own somewhat recharged battery.
Drive this car around for a while to let it recharge its own battery more.
This'll only work if the dead car's battery is merely too weak to start the car. If it has any damage or an internal short, it won't work (and could be dangerous to charge it).
The real preferred method, other than having an auto club (like AAA or Better World Club) come out, is to have a portable jumpstart kit for your car. Less than US$50, you can get a jumpstart kit that also has other neat stuff in it, like a compressor for tire inflation, or hazard lights. Something worth having in your car toolkit.
Jump start procedure if needing to jump your own Toyota hybrid if its 12v accessory battery is dead can be found in the "in case of emergency" section of the owner's manual.

Where can I find seat alternatives for a 2001 Toyota 4Runner.?
I have a 2001 Toyota 4Runner and the seats are terribly uncomfortable. They are too short and too narrow. I had a 98 with the same issue. For such a great truck the seats are so uncomfortable. I'm looking for some possible replacement ideas. I like the seats in my 2005 Tacoma and wonder if they are compatible. I need to find a similar seat that is compatible and more comfortable. I am not sure where the exact location of your catalytic converter is as I work solely on domestic vehicles.Your best bet is to buy an 02 sensor off the internet and take it to a muffler brothers or the like and have them put it in for about $20.
The shop I went to wanted $115, so I went and bought the sensor for $50 off the internet. Took it to them and had them install it for $20.
If you take the part to them instead of buying the sensor thru them, you will save enough to make it worth your while. Parts mark up at shops can be 200%
Make sure to get it fixed sooner rather than later. Driving it as it is, it will no doubt be running rich because the computer controlling the engine is in 'limp home' mode. It's running on factory programmed parameters for air/fuel ratios. The computer has no idea what the catalytic converter is doing and cannot adjust accordingly.
You may also notice poor fuel economy as a result.

A friend and I are going to a concert at the Palladium Ballroom (1135 South Lamar St) in Dallas in a few days. We want to stop and eat dinner before we go. I wouldn't risk taking your digital camera, they might confiscate it. Take a disposable. That way if they take it no big deal. And when you get it developed you can get the pics on a CD and put them on your computer.

I am 15 and my friend is 14 but could pass off for 16, and I was wondering if you have to be 16 or over? Because it says all ages. I have seen all time low play many times and they can be pretty vulgar so I hope your mom does not get offended easily!! But all time low is always a good and fun concert to attend, they are great and funny live!! You will have a blast. all time low are absoluttly amazing live! the crowd does gett a little crazzy, but it's mostly teenagers so it doesn't get that roughh. jack%26amp;alex are hysterrically funny, but really inapropriate sometimes so if your mom doesn't like "potty mouthes" you might want to warn her ahead of time. they do some craaazy things on stage, but their shows are always a great time. have fun(;
Hey! I'm a big All Time Low fan but I've never seen them live. I've seen Hey Monday though. You won't have a problem, I promise you. The moshing and stuff doesn't happen at concerts for this style of music. They are an awesome band live from what I hear, I Hope you have a lot of fun!

I got 3 tickets for deadmau5 standing room only my other friend decided to go and bought the tiket a week later. After recheking the tickets i noticed there was seat numbers we got 132 133 134 and she got 118. Are we going to be separated or together since its the STANDING ROOM? or what? Their website says that parking is ten dollars, but I've also heard from other people that you can park and walk.
Also, how questionable is the surrounding area? I'm a 16 year old girl who has been driving almost a year, and I'm driving a group of three girls, including me, and two guys. The Palladium Ballroom itself should be safe. But the surrounding area is a ghetto. It's in South Dallas, one of the worst neighborhoods in the city. Lots of homeless people in that area. It is just south of downtown and they say there are 5,000 homeless people in that area. Winos, mentally retarded, druggies, etc. So, be extremely careful.
Just go to the show and then leave the area. You should be okay, just watch your surroundings and don't let any strangers approach you while you're there. If I were you I would park on the lot and pay the $10. If you park out on the street somewhere, you're liable to come back and not have any wheels, or maybe not even have a car. I've never been there before, and we're actually traveling quite a way to go to the show (we don't live in Dallas), so I really know nothing about it. Should we arrive really early? Yes, it is possible ... but you will have to change. Also, it can take you 45 mins to an hour.
For example from Plano area you would take DART Rail Red Line from Downtown Plano Station. Take Southbound Red line headed to Westmoreland. Get off at Cedars Station. From here it is less than 0.5 miles by walk.
Another way is to take Bus 026 (from close to Griffin Street and Main street Intersection) to Lamar Street stop. From there it is about 2-3 mins walk !!!!. If you figure out how to reach this bus station from where you are, it is easy.

My only tip is don't go. The staff is rude, you can't count on the A/C working, and they routinely over charge your credit card when you buy drinks (the first time I thought it was a mistake -- the second time I knew better). At the end of World War II people began moving from Puerto Rico to New York City in large numbers (NYC's Puerto Rican population was about 100,000 in 1940 and 600,000 in 1960) and the popularity of swing, foxtrot, big band, etc was waning.
In 1948, music promoter Federico Pagani approached Palladium owner Max Hyman about booking Latin music there (the photo above was taken by Palladium photographer, Harry Fine, showing Maxwell Hyman with his top Star performers, Augie %26amp; Margo Rodriguez, the couple who took the Mambo to unimaginable heights). The first booking, on a Sunday afternoon, was reportedly a huge success, quickly prompting the club to fill its schedule with Latin music. Machito (born Frank Grillo) (suggested listening: Dance Date with Machito and His Afro-Cubans), already an established new York act, played there frequently. Has anyone ever been to the Palladium Ballroom?
I'm going to a concert that will take place there and I am just wondering what to expect.Has anyone ever been to the Palladium Ballroom?
The Palladium has become my new favorite venue. (I like small venues because there's less crowds and lines, not to mention less people shoving against you all the time or groping.) It looks like a theater on the inside, with a few bars added on either side. It's surprisingly spacious, something I was not expecting, but it still has the "small club" kinda feel to it. Sizing wise, It's like the House of Blues in Dallas' standing room area (if you've ever been), maybe slightly smaller. There's no balcony seating, it's standing room only. But the bar separating the stage from the crowd is about 3 feet across, so if you manage to get up to the bar, you get the see the band THAT CLOSE. And it was pretty easy to navigate through the crowd too with a few "excuse me"s and "sorry"s, I saw All That Remains there last week which is a pretty big name. Unlike the House of Blues, there's not a "no moshing" sign (which people never listened to anyway, as I noticed at Dragonforce's show there last year.) So if you're worried about the pits (i'm not sure what band/genre you're seeing), they're pretty small and harmless and nice people usually close it off so that smaller people (namely, GIRLS) don't get sucked in/hurt.
It's got high ceilings (in the main theater area,) there's no line for the bathroom and you can get really close to the band. The side monitors can be overpowering at some points though so try to get a spot in the center if you can, I had to plug my ears at several points just to save my hearing, and they were still ringing like crazy when I got home.
I'm planning on seeing Megadeth there (hopefully) in December, so you can bet I like the Palladium. (I was shocked to see people like Wilco and ATR playing there since it's smaller than the House of Blues!)

I don't like the palladium for a few reasons.
1 - Parking sucks. You have to pay like $10 to park there, and it is a pain in the *** leaving since there is like one exit from the entire lot. If you leave with everyone else plan on sitting in your car for a good 30 min. till you can leave.
2 - You have to buy your tix for this venue from ticketmaster. That means they are way overpriced and throw in a million fees.
3 - It's a bigger venue (not arena sized, but bigger than I like), so you cant get as close to the artist. And the way the stage is set up it is kinda hard to see the performers well unless you get way up front. This must be why there are tvs all around inside with the show being broadcast on them.
4 - Crappy security
I much prefer venues like the Grenada and the door. They are more smaller and intimate and let you get closer to the artist. These two venues don't have security running around trying to kick you out for anything. Parking is simple and tickets for these venues are $15, compared to the Palladiums 25-40 dollar ticket fee.
So, in the end I try to avoid the palladium as much as possible. But I do go out there once a year to see the mars volta.
