How do you change the rear tire on an 83 Honda Nighthawk?

I have an 83 Honda Nighthawk, and need to change the rear tire, any help would be appreciated. Thanks! How do you change the rear tire on an 83 Honda Nighthawk?if the bike has a center stand, get it up on that. If it doesn't, you'll need to improvise a center stand, or use jack-stands to hold up the rear swing-arm.

with the back tire off the ground, loosen the chain tensioner and alignment screw on the opposite side.

Then you can remove the axle, and the wheel comes right off.

Your best bet for changing the tire itself is to take the whole wheel to a shop. They'll have a machine to seat the new tire correctly. If you want to do it yourself, it's possible, but not easy.

Then reverse the steps above, and be sure to align the rear tire properly!!!!!!How do you change the rear tire on an 83 Honda Nighthawk?you throw it away.. its way to old for usage any more

How much would it cost to replace breaks for 2007 Honda Civic?

I have a 2007 Honda Civic Sedan, and my breaks are already making noises...

How much would the breaks cost me.

How much would it cost me to take it to a shop?

I need to know the cost of the parts + labor separately .

Thank you.How much would it cost to replace breaks for 2007 Honda Civic?A straight forward "pad slap" where all the mechanic does is throw in new pads should cost about an hour labor ($65-80) and the pads should cost between $35-50 if the mechanic is not doubling his net cost. How much would it cost to replace breaks for 2007 Honda Civic?Get it repaired quickly, due to the fact that you already hear noises and it is most likely the pads are griding on the rotors......Too late dude if they are because that indicates that you are now going to need to replace the rotors also. total parts around 265.00 and 350.00 labor. That is if you buy aftermarket rotors and pads......good luck dude and get laid.....

i bought a 1998 honda accord for 8k. it was in great condition, no issues, about 100k miles. cheapest thing on the lot too, i'm sure.

  • What would be the best engine for a tuned out honda civic?

I have a honda civic 2000 (coupe) and i am planning on making it a street racing car. I haven't worked with civics in the past and was wondering if anyone had experience working with them.

Which engine works best when upgraded with a turbo, air intake, performance exhaust, etc.

The b18c or k20a? Or is there another i should be aware of?

thanksWhat would be the best engine for a tuned out honda civic?H22a are also great engines but they are better for N/A builds, seeing as they are open deck and a ***** to turbo. i would say either one of the b18c or k20a are great choices. h22a, b18c, and k20a are by far the best engines honda has ever made (with the exception of the engine in the NSX, which i believe is the c32...? correct me if im wrong)What would be the best engine for a tuned out honda civic?
k20a is an amazing motor , just cost lots of money and time, I payed 6k for my motor from Hmotorsonline.com and another 4k in parts(Hondata Kpro was 1k alone) Its N/A at the moment with basic bolt-ons, pushing 232 whp ,Its in my 92 civic HB btw ....

if price is not a concern, k20 head/k24 bottom end + Turbo (gt35r) + Kpro and a good dyno tune. There are tons of other small items you need aswell. But a properly tuned k20/24 turbo is good for 450hp easily with stock internals. Just make sure you have a good set tire cause 450 FWHP will have no traction...

If you are considering doing this swap www.k20a.org was a big help for me and also http://www.hybrid-racing.com , they have a list of all the parts you need for this swap..... Its a long list compared to the B- series motorsWhat would be the best engine for a tuned out honda civic?i would go with the K-series motors, K20A would be very nice for a civic.

also i dont know why people are talking about a F20C motor for a civic.

F20C is for a RWD S2000 not a FWD civic. What would be the best engine for a tuned out honda civic?
^^^ wrong f20c is the best engine honda ever made.

    a b18c or a k20 would be good

price wise the k20 is still a bit expensive. What would be the best engine for a tuned out honda civic?take a b16a1

I have a 1992 Honda Accord that stops in the middle of driving, what is the problem?

Sometimes when I drive my car will turn off, including my brakes and power steering, but my lights, radio, windows, and everything electrical inside the car works. The honda dealer did a battery test and ruled out the possibility of it being the battery, starter, or alternator. So before I take it to the dealer to do a deeper diagnostic on it, I was wondering if I could get other opinions on the problem.I have a 1992 Honda Accord that stops in the middle of driving, what is the problem?whoever does the diagnosis is going to need to know the answers to some questions. does the car act up (spit, sputter, buck) before it dies or does it just cut out? If it bucks and misfires you may have a bad ignition coil. if it just cuts out you may have a bad ignition module or ignition switch

And, will the car restart when it stalls out or not? what do you have to do to get it restarted when it does turn off?

if your engine turns over (tries to start) but won't fire then the problem is most likely a loss of spark which could be caused by a bad ignition module that is breaking down when hot. both the ignition coil and the ignition module will usually allow you to restart the car once the engine cools down.

if the engine won't turn over (no response to turning the key) then it could be a problem with the ignition switch

there is an outside chance there could be a problem with the main relay that is causing the fuel pump to cut out. in that case the engine would turn over and you would have spark but the car wouldn't start.

    hope that helps

Does cash really make a difference when purchasing a new Honda?

I've heard stories of people using cash in hand as a bargaining tool when purchasing vehicles. Does this really make a difference when say, purchasing a new-higher-end Honda?

If so, how do you use this tool effectively?Does cash really make a difference when purchasing a new Honda? No. Saying you'll pay cash for a car does not get you a better price. That tale is as old as "This is a hot color. And this is my last one". Yeah, right. There's at least 6 more of the same color in storage!

We make money on getting you financed. Plain and simple. It's not much. Just a few hundred dollars. But it helps to offset some of our overhead and advertising costs.

So when you say you're paying cash, we'll want more for the car than from someone else who's financing it.Does cash really make a difference when purchasing a new Honda? Not really, tho the salesman may let you think it does.

If the cost is $30K, you pay $30K cash. If you finance, the dealership gets $30+K from the bank. Difference = $0.

You know, you could always buy American.Does cash really make a difference when purchasing a new Honda? No as they would rather you did not pay cash and financed.Does cash really make a difference when purchasing a new Honda?
No, that's a myth. In fact, all car dealers, not just Honda, make money from financing though the manufacturers finance company, so they would really rather have you finance a car through them.

However, if you have your heart set on doing it yourself I won't discourage you. Everyone's gotta start somewhere right? =]

Firstly, it depends how you want them wired; on all the time, on with a switch, on with the headlights, on with the handbrake etc.

Firstly you need to find a mounting point that doesn't inhibit any mechanical parts of the car. Don't ask me where I read this, but I remember somewhere that it's illegal for the actual light bar to be showing (depending on where you live the whole setup may be illegal, at the very least it will make you very attractive to police).

Then find a spot to run the wires where they won't get in the way of anything and also won't hang down. You'll then need to splice off a wire that has constant power and find a ground that turns on and off with (whatever you want the lights turned on and off with).

Hey presto you're all done! Make sure all wires are ziptied up and don't get in the way of anything or the driver's feet.

What you need is to have a good mechanic check it over. Even though it's a Honda, every used car is different. As such, there is no specific area to look over; the whole car must be inspected thoroughly. You never know how it was treated (or mis-treated) in the past.

Honda Civics are very reliable. I have a 2000 Civic with 74K miles and with normal maintenance (3000-mile oil changes, air filters, radiator flush and spark plugs), it's been running very well. To do: timing belt, water pump and transmission fluid flush, brakes. I expect more than 200K miles on the powertrain. I knew a guy who once got more than 650K miles on a 1980's vintage Civic before he sold it and bought another Honda.

Find out how much you would have to spend on an extended warranty and put those funds in a money market account. Use it to pay for any catostrophic failures that probably won't happen, and you will come out ahead at the end.

How can i install lower balljoint on a 1995 honda civic with out a press?

hi i need to change the front lower ball joint on a 1995 honda civic. i dont have the press to put the new one in. is there any other way i can install the lower ball joint with out the press tool. How can i install lower balljoint on a 1995 honda civic with out a press? Please take it from me. You need to borrow a ball joint removal tool kit from Auto Zone after you've popped the ball joint loose from the lower A-arm. Auto Zone has a tool to pop the ball joint loose. A "pitman" arm removal tool will release the taper of the ball-joint from the A-arm.How can i install lower balljoint on a 1995 honda civic with out a press?
if you got the old one off then when you put the new one on, use the big nut as you tighten it up it will pull the balljoint into position. if the old one is still on,and there is a big nut on it, sometimes you need a correct sized pickle fork to split them apartHow can i install lower balljoint on a 1995 honda civic with out a press?Use the nut to draw it in, while hitting the side with a hammer. Make sure it continues to go in straight. How can i install lower balljoint on a 1995 honda civic with out a press?
Start by removing the tire then the by removing the ball joint retaining. before removing the nut place a small jack under the a arm put a little pressure on it then loosen the nut if the ball joint is riveted in drill the rivets out then the ball joint should just come out. The new ball joints should come with bolts to re inststall

\How can i install lower balljoint on a 1995 honda civic with out a press? There is no other way then use the pressing tools. Other way such the seized fork or tighten nut using the old might can be done, but please considering the pressure you can give then the tools. A loosen ball joint is absolutly dangerous the driving experience, if it's loosen from the house you might loose control and jeopardies other driver. Loosing ball joint will make the wheel loosing it's toe position, and the wheel might hit the shockbreaker. How can i install lower balljoint on a 1995 honda civic with out a press?
you want to know a secret dear? this is the way i do it and it works too. what i do is put the new ball joint in the freezer for about a day then after i pound the old 1 out i put the new ball joint in a cooler until i,am ready for it then it slips right through the hole. but you have to be quick about it. you see when steel gets cold it shrinks and once it gets warmed up it expands. i did that more then once.
the best way to work on ball joints is to have the right tool for the right job and the right person to do it.

any mistake you make may cause it to drop while driving either on high speed or rough road and may cause more serious damage to you and your car.

now.. this is what you can do.. for honda civic with A-arm suspension, ball joints usually is built-in with the the A-arm/lower arm.. it is installed/fitted by honda motors to have good grip.

if that is the design.. the best is to replace the whole arm with new A-arm.. comes free with bushing attached already. you may install a replacement brand as long as for the designated civic model.

most honda civic is like this..

if you think you can remove the ball joint alone and not include the A-arm.. check if there's a snap ring at the bottom of the rubber seal of the ball joint.. remove it once you have detached the lower arm from the car.. you can not hammer it for it will deform the shape of the arm and render your A -arm unusable due to loose hole to fit the ball joint. you need press-in. press-out job

Another is..see if the ball joint is bolted to the arm with extra 2 bolts.. except for the bigger nuts that connects the ball joint to the steering knuckle.. if you see those 2 bolts usually 14mm head bolt size.. then you can separate the ball joint from the A-arm without a press.

so.. 3 ways to determine the version of your suspension..

if it is built in ball joint.. best if you have it replace .. safer for you..

if you can not afford now.. leave for a awhile and save money to have it fix by professional.

any wrong procedure either cost your life and or your hand while working on it..

You'll get a paint job according to your budget. Meaning this is the reason Maaco has a whole car paint package for $400, and also one for $2500. It all depends on how well you want it to look. They might do a leak detection first to verify the system is in tact, if it is, it would be a safe bet to ball park a $150 estimate for everything.

I believe they also replace the expansion valve and drier, those parts you can get for $30 each, maybe another $100 to swap out, not sure about R-134a conversion, but that's a MANDATORY step when replacing the compressor, but you might want to ask.

Can a 2004 honda pilot still make carbon monoxide w/ a catalytic converter?

l think the 2004 honda pilot has a catalytic converter in it. Can it still make co? %26amp; can it still b deadly? Can a 2004 honda pilot still make carbon monoxide w/ a catalytic converter? It produces CO, but not enough to kill you in any amount of time you would stand for it. I've had CO poisoning from an industrial accident (a generator running under the gull-wing door of the airplane I was working in) and it is no fun at all. I was getting a lot more CO than your 2004 Honda puts out. After about half an hour I began feeling spacey and had a tight feeling across my forehead. My boss was working with me and I asked him if he was feeling okay - he said he was. He told me later he thought he was having a stroke and didn't want me to be afraid to fly back with him. The headache began after about an hour and we were working there for three hours. I vomited on the way home. After I got home it got worse. I laid down because I was fatigued and thought (wrongly) it would help the headache. It quickly turned into a horrible headache and my wife called poison control, which alerted the hospital for us. My thinking was all messed up - I was going to drive myself to the hospital, but when my wife got me there I could walk where she told me to but could not decide for myself where to go. I was put on oxygen quite quickly, which helped the headache maybe 50% within seconds. Several doctors asked how it happened for the record because there are legal ramifications to CO poisoning (and most poisonings) for any of the various ways it can occur. I was on oxygen for 7 hours - when the blood test results came back the doctor increased the flow of oxygen) and was sent home.

One of the most dangerous aspects of CO levels like modern cars produce is that it can make us do stupid things. As I found out, my brain checked out early in the procedure and I began doing progressively more random things. Fortunately, I got treatment before brain damage occurred. Mental retardation is not uncommon with intense or prolonged CO exposure.

How do I get the keyless entry on my Honda Accord 06 to work?

I bought a used honda accord 06 from a dealership in November. Last night my keyless entry (which is on the acutal key) worked fine, however, this morning the lock button did not work. The unlock button works fine. What could possibly be the problem? And will cost me a lot to get it fixed by the dealership? How do I get the keyless entry on my Honda Accord 06 to work?If the problem is only with one door the problem is typically with the door lock actuator inside the door that pulls the lock mechanism to "lock". so unlock all the doors and press the lock button. if the other doors open and the driver's door does not the lock actuator is bad. It usually costs about $200 to replace a defective door lock actuator. there is a chance your car is still under the factory warranty if you are under 3 years and 36,000 miles and in that case the repair would be covered under warrranty. the warranty is on the car, not on the owner so it doesn't matter if you bought the car used.

if none of the doors lock when you press the remote then the problem is with the remote on the key. try the other key (you should have received two). if the other key works then use that. if you only have one key then you'll have to replace it and have the new key reprogrammed. that will cost about $100.

if the unlock works fine then the communication system and the control unit work fine.

    hope that helps

How do I change my wipers on a 2004 Honda Civic?

Does anyone have experience changing the wipers on a 2001-2005 Honda Civic? Can't seem to get mine off the arm even after reading the manual. How do I change my wipers on a 2004 Honda Civic?if you're looking to replace the blades then lift the wiper arm up off of the windshield so that it stands up on the pivot. then flip the wiper blad over so that the rubber insert is facing upward.

look at the wiper arm that hold the blade. you'll see the end of the arm looks like a hook ( J. ) push the wiper blade down the wiper arm (towards the windshield) until the wiper blade detatches from the hook. then move the wiper blade to the full side of the gap in the blade so that the hook slides through the opening and the blade is free from the arm.

once you do one you'll get the hang of it.

pay attention to the orientation of the blade when you remove it so that you can put the new one on the same way.

by the way, its much less expensive to change the inserts (just the rubber that goes inside the metal blade). Honda dealers will usually put the inserts on at no charge if you buy the inserts from them

Can the 2002 Honda Civic LX Sedan be fitted with side airbags for front and rear passengers? And is there any website that I can find such information? Thanks. Can the 2002 Honda Civic LX Sedan be fitted with side airbags for front and rear passengers?Theoretically, it is possible but definitely not feasable. It's not only the airbags that need to be installed, it's also the computer components and impact sensors that need to be added. What is the actual labor effort to install 2010 Honda Fit car accessories?

I'm shopping for a 2010 Honda Fit and would like to add some Honda accessories.

When I go to the Honda car website to look at the various accessories I can add, there is a note that says the costs shown do not include the installation cost.

I was wondering what is the actual labor effort, in terms of manhours, to install the following accessories:

    - Door Edge Film

    - Body Side Molding

    - Door Visor

    - Center Armrest

Thanks for the help! What is the actual labor effort to install 2010 Honda Fit car accessories? This one is hard. Every dealership is different from the other. From what I can tell is about 4 to 6 hours. but again every dealer is different. In some dealers it's 80 dollars an hour and in other is 110 dollars that makes a big difference too. In some dealers the flat rate techs do this kind of work and they get paid more $$, In some other dealers they have a pdi tech (pre delivery inspection) that's on salary not flat rate that will do this kind of work for less $$. I guess it will be better for u to call other honda places were u live and ask and also use that info for your advantage u know like; Hey the other Honda place will do it for less.. That always works . Good luck! What is the actual labor effort to install 2010 Honda Fit car accessories?Sports car accessories are one of the options that you need to think about when buying a new sports car.Car accessories really add extra look to your car.

Is 133 thousand miles decent for a used 1996 Honda Accord?

I need to buy a car soon and I was considering either a used Toyota Corolla or a used Honda Accord. The Toyota Corolla is a 1996 with 126 thousand miles for 2900 (though of course I'd haggle) and the Honda Accord is a 1996 with 133 thousand miles for 2000 (again, I'd haggle). Is the Honda Accord decent sounding (based on the little info given), or the Corolla? Of course, I have to check them both out myself, but are there any tips or suggestions or opinions anyone can offer? Thanks! Is 133 thousand miles decent for a used 1996 Honda Accord?Go for the corolla. Better MPG, reliable, (gas pedal works lol). They outlast the Honda accord if well maintained. (Like you can put 250k miles if you maintain it). 126k miles is breaking it in. I had a 1994 corolla and bought it with 110k miles, the car's engine literally died at 260k miles and the transmission outlasted the engine!! This one time, I had no coolant and drove that sucker for 50 miles and it still didnt overheat. Is 133 thousand miles decent for a used 1996 Honda Accord?High mileage is OK if the car has been well cared for. If it looks like the previous owners didn't take care of the car look elsewhere.

As far as the differrence between Toyota and Honda, it's a coin flip. Both are good as long as they have been taken care of.

I wouldn't pay anywhere close to $2900 for a 15 year old car.Is 133 thousand miles decent for a used 1996 Honda Accord? Both are good cars. Take both on long test drives and then whichever one you like best, have a mechanic check it out. Don't skip that step. Saving $50-125 can cost you lots more. We have people here on a regular basis blaming the sellers when they are the ones to blame. Is 133 thousand miles decent for a used 1996 Honda Accord?
    Either one sounds good.

How often should I change my engine Oil for Honda Accord?

I've been told 3000, but my owners manual says 7500. I have a 98 honda accord v6 with 128k. I currently drive 35 miles (one way) to school, 4 times a week. I don't drive aggressively or anything like and it's usually raining where i live. I'm using castrol synthetic blend at every oil change. Would it okay to wait until 5k miles to get it changed? How often should I change my engine Oil for Honda Accord? Why not split the difference and change the oil and filter every 5,000 miles like Toyota still suggests today? Your manufacturer suggests using 5W-30 year round.

If you live where the temperature could dip below 0 Farenheit full synthetic 5W-30 Mobil1 pours @ -47 below 0. Castrol Edge is horribly overpriced. Valvoline, Quaker state and Pennzoil full synthetic is $20.00 for a five quart container at Walmart. Mobil1 is $22.00 and Mobil1 Extended Performance is $24.00 at Wally World. How often should I change my engine Oil for Honda Accord?
There are likely three different service schedules in the owner's manual. Light, normal, and severe are what they're usually labeled. No one qualifies for "light." Not many qualify for "normal" either. 90% of vehicles are driven under what the manufacturer calls "severe." It basically just means you drive in a city. That being said, there's no way the manual says 7,500 under that schedule, most manufacturers say 3,000 miles and while it might be overkill, I think it's good practice. Think about it, you're only talking about two more oil changes a year, and if you stop wasting your money on synthetic oil that only equates to $40/year in extra oil changes. Why risk a $4,000 engine to save $40 a year? How often should I change my engine Oil for Honda Accord?if you use a good oil you can wait longer than with a cheap oil. many would have you think that all of many different oils all oxidize and such at the exact same rate and will be the same after whatever time has passed. nothing could be farther from the truth. with a good synthetic blend you should be ok for 5K or a little more miles. with the cheapest stuff made you will be needing a change far sooner like 2500-3K even if you engine is clean running with good oil control. if you ever check the oil and it seems very dark or smells bad change it period. i change mine not by time or miles but by smell, feel and appearance. when oil stinks of being burned its no good for an engine. when its filthy its no good for a gas engine. as your engine gets older though it will be harder on its oil and more frequent changes will be needed. with 120+K miles every 4-5K might be better than waiting til 6 or more. we have a subaru with about that mileage and its oil isn't even bad looking after 5K when we change it.
Dude, it's cheap insurance to change every 3000. I do in my '97 Accord with 110k. You are still racking up the miles so keep the engines blood fresh and clean. Change the air filter every 3 or 4 oil changes too. The elements are a little pricey because of the plastic housing but I like to breathe fresh, unrestricted air and your car does too. I use good quality oil and filters. I wouldn't use synthetic oil, don't wear polyester either. The local parts chains always have something on sale. How often should I change my engine Oil for Honda Accord?I have 275,000 miles on my vehicle and it still runs great and does not burn any oil. Slow short driving distances is harder on a engine then long distant driving because of carbon buildup. If it was my car I would change the oil AND the filter between every 3 %26amp; 4 thousand. How often should I change my engine Oil for Honda Accord?
is not a set mileage its between 3000 to 8000 its when you want to.. its when its dirty its when its black or dark its not changing it 7500 is fine can do it before or after that can do it at 1000 miles most peopel do it a round 3000 i go about 5000 or more on it
change it once a year get it done when you have the car MOT'd change the filter at the same time .A lot of garages do deals on a service and MOT so shop around for a good dealHow often should I change my engine Oil for Honda Accord?
If tranmission oil is changed every 10.000 Kms. will do. Most of the automobile the oil is changed every 10.000 Kms.
IF IT IS CONVINENT TO CHANGE AT 3000KMS IT IS EXCELLENT, OR AT 4000 IT IS GOOD, IF U R USEING SYNTHETIC OIL U CAN CHANGE AT 7500. OR UR ENGIEN MAY BE DAMAGED .GRADUALLY.
every 3000 miles, owners manual goes by the car just sitting there and under very light conditions. I wouldn't wait until 5k if it was my car, then again I also hate parking outside.
every 3 month or 3,000 miles
yes 5 or 6k miles will be fine with the oil your using.

What do you think of a girl driving a honda civic?

Guys, do you think the 2001 honda civic is cute for a girl? What do you think when you see a girl driving one? I'm just bored and curious. What do you think of a girl driving a honda civic?Cute ?? not really but it will help you pick up guys since it will spend a lot of time broken down giving you plenty of time to call guys and ask for help fixing it.

.What do you think of a girl driving a honda civic?
I see girls driving civics all day everyday. I don't think anything of it. Its so cliche, the whole "small cars are for girls" addage I mean. For the longest time, this has been accepted among society as the norm, so for me to think its cute basically means I don't think about it at all. What do you think of a girl driving a honda civic?I'm not a guy but it's a good car to drive for a girl. Hondas are easy and cheap to fix too so if you know nothing about cars like i do and can't fix it yourself you probably wont be paying too much to take it in. It was perfect for me at college.
Nothing really unless the girl is extremely hot and distracting or your civic is pimped by an idiot with no tasteWhat do you think of a girl driving a honda civic?I think nothing of it. Now if you were a very cute black girl driving a jacked up ford with a swastika on it I may think somethings a missWhat do you think of a girl driving a honda civic?
I think "Damn ***** get the **** off the cell phone and drive the damn car"
I do not judge woman by their car i'm looking at you when i am interested :-)What do you think of a girl driving a honda civic?
Nothing wrong with girls driving cars.

I looks like a decent car for both sexes.

Is the 2004 Honda Element a good car for long term driving and gas mileage?

I drive a lot for work. My Toyota Camry caught on fire and is totaled. I found a 2004 Honda Element for 4,450 with pretty low mileage. Low mileage is important due to constant driving for work. I am not a huge fan on SUVs but the extra room could be beneficial with a growing family. Thoughts and opinions? Is the 2004 Honda Element a good car for long term driving and gas mileage?$4450 sounds pretty cheap for a low mileage 2004 Element, even if it's a 2wd DX model. I'd be a little suspicious. Make sure you check it out carefully, even things you might take for granted. For instance, make sure you get heat out of all of the dash vents. Otherwise it may have a plugged heater core even though the temp gauge is in the normal range...a $1200 repair. Check the forums at http://www.elementownersclub.com for real world experiences from fanatical owners. Is the 2004 Honda Element a good car for long term driving and gas mileage?Hondas are typically reliable cars. I own a 2000 CRV and it still runs like new! catch is,Hondas aren't the cheapest to run. Same things are said by friends and relatives who own other models (civic, accord, fit, etc). If ever you can find a Toyota SUV at the same price and low mileage, i'd probably go for that one. But that Honda Element isn't a very bad deal to me. just remember to take a look at the maintenance records or accident history before moving forward.

  • Is it possible to repair a gouge in a Honda front fender?

Had a Harley fall on my Honda's plastic fender and it gouged it pretty deep. Is there a way to fill the gouge and repair it?Is it possible to repair a gouge in a Honda front fender?I don't think traditional Bondo will "bond" to the plastic!! Plastic is flexible and the Bondo will crack before this Halloween.

I would try an automotive "seam-sealer" You should be able to pick up a tube at an automotive paint store (and while you are there, tell them why you are looking to buy it and maybe they might suggest something even better). Is it possible to repair a gouge in a Honda front fender?
Get some of that JB Weld stuff. Clean out the gouge with a wire brush, then apply the JB Weld to fill up the gouge.

When the JB Weld has hardened, sand it down smooth and repaint the area.

I've done this so many times (with fantastic results BTW) that I could probably do it while asleep. I have a river rock driveway (a long one). Me and my kids all ride sportbikes....You don't even want to know how many times we have biffed it in the driveway. Somebody ought to make cast-iron fairings. :)Is it possible to repair a gouge in a Honda front fender?not sure what you mean by gouge? but it is like a dent? you can try

glazing and spot putty. get it at autozone. or if you can't hammer out at all you may have to do the fill with bondo route. also found at autozone. hope this helps you. i have used on a light back fender on

street bike and even filled a couple screw holes, painted it and it's working good so far. if i really was showing or something i'd get new one, but after 6 months in vegas you still can't tell. not perfect but for us poor boys it works good enough for every day use in the desert. hope this helps you, it did me.

yes, bondo. Is it possible to repair a gouge in a Honda front fender?I agree that bondo is not an option. Try eBay and see if you can get a replacement. I think if you try to repair it in any way, while it will work, it will be ugly to look at. Good luck

How was your financing at the Honda Dealership?

Has anyone here been financed through the Honda dealership for a Honda CRV or other vehical? What was the APR? Was is reasonable? How was your financing at the Honda Dealership?I did and would not recommend doing it again. I could get better financing at my local credit union. Look into it as you must have one in your town. Join it with minimum deposit and then apply for your car loan. Of coarse you must have decent credit like anywhere else but usually credit unions use the car for collateral. They are better than banks and way better than Honda. How was your financing at the Honda Dealership? It turned out to be the worst way I could have financed.
