How do I get the keyless entry on my Honda Accord 06 to work?

I bought a used honda accord 06 from a dealership in November. Last night my keyless entry (which is on the acutal key) worked fine, however, this morning the lock button did not work. The unlock button works fine. What could possibly be the problem? And will cost me a lot to get it fixed by the dealership? How do I get the keyless entry on my Honda Accord 06 to work?If the problem is only with one door the problem is typically with the door lock actuator inside the door that pulls the lock mechanism to "lock". so unlock all the doors and press the lock button. if the other doors open and the driver's door does not the lock actuator is bad. It usually costs about $200 to replace a defective door lock actuator. there is a chance your car is still under the factory warranty if you are under 3 years and 36,000 miles and in that case the repair would be covered under warrranty. the warranty is on the car, not on the owner so it doesn't matter if you bought the car used.

if none of the doors lock when you press the remote then the problem is with the remote on the key. try the other key (you should have received two). if the other key works then use that. if you only have one key then you'll have to replace it and have the new key reprogrammed. that will cost about $100.

if the unlock works fine then the communication system and the control unit work fine.

hope that helps
