How do you remove the gas tank on a Honda Passport seventy cc scooter?

My father and I have an 1981 model Honda Passport 70 with a very rusted fuel tank which we want to treat with Kreme, however we cannot figure out how to get the fuel tank out of the body of the scooter. We have to take the tank out because it has holes in in the bottom.How do you remove the gas tank on a Honda Passport seventy cc scooter?you pull the lid off, 2 phillips screws on top, you disconect both fuel lines. as you pull up on the fuel tank you tip it slightly forward. it is a tight fit. Then you buy a new tank, Kreme is a nice product but, it chips around the filler neck and the fuel lines.. also a used in good condition tank costs as much as your kreme kit.
