How much does it cost to update my 93 honda accord airconditioner to the new legal standard?

I have a 93 honda accord ex and it has airconditioning already installed. I believe that the freon has run out. However, since the laws changed in 94, i must now update my system to the earth friendly freon. I was wondering what is a reasonable price to pay?How much does it cost to update my 93 honda accord airconditioner to the new legal standard?i have never heard of doing this just do it yourself its very easy you can buy a little kit thingy at walmart for like 25 or 30 bucks and you can put watever freon you want in it.How much does it cost to update my 93 honda accord airconditioner to the new legal standard?you mean an r-134 conversion. probably around 250 bucks. this is not something you can do at home. How much does it cost to update my 93 honda accord airconditioner to the new legal standard?there is a r134a conversion kit...which you can do yourself...but its best to let the shop do it...for youll need to clean out the system of its old freon....and its not mandatory to switch to r134a...im still running on r12 freon in my 92 civic...its just more exspensive and harder to find....
