Any moving car, no matter how safely designed, is one of the most dangerous places you can be, because of the danger from other cars and especially their drivers. The most dangerous part of being an airline pilot is driving to and from the airport, in any car. Being on the airplane is safer. No car is safe, unless it is parked in a one-car garage. Some cars are merely less unsafe than others.
That being said, the risk of death is not significantly greater in a Toyota than in other cars. You are more likely to die because of being hit by a non-Toyota car when crossing the street on foot than you are to die because of your car being a Toyota. Nearly all accidents involving Toyotas are unrelated to them being Toyotas.Do you feel safe driving a Toyota after the recent events of safety issues in several of the Toyota lines?
