How often should I change the oil for a 2005 Toyota Camry?

I put about 30 miles a day on it. I've heard every 3,000 miles but that just seems to frequent. How often should I change the oil for a 2005 Toyota Camry?Every 3000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first. Seriously because the oil gets dirty and breaks down. It is also recommended that you check your oil at every fill up. It is more practical to check it every 3 or 4 fillups if you have a newer car, but definately more often as you get closer to 100,000 miles.

Good habits with your oil will give you more life out of you car and less of a chance of any major problems with your motor.

Make sure you change the filter with every oil change too! If you get someone else to change it for you, then you can mark the filter to make sure it was changed.

Oh, and don't believe that 5,000 or 10,000 mile crap. Stick with 3,000. And don't use oil meant for a lawn mower or anything else. I've seen it all.How often should I change the oil for a 2005 Toyota Camry?
Yes, it sound frequent but you are really doing your Toyota engine a big favor. Oil do break down, losing it's lubricating properties to protect the valves, pistons, camshaft, crankcase and other components over time. When the oil is left in the engine for too long, it can actually work against the engine, such as clogging up the oil pump's screen that would starve the engine of oil and lead the engine to it's untimely death. How often should I change the oil for a 2005 Toyota Camry? In Australia it's recommended that you change it every service which is every 10,000kms or 6months, which ever comes sooner.

If you are handy and intend to keep it as long as possible i would recommend doing it yourself between the services, so that it gets done every 5,000kms. Oil really is the heart of the motor.

If you do it yourself invest in good oil %26amp; don't forgret to replace the oil filter at the same time.
I usually change mine every 3250mi or 5000km.

Newer cars with tighter tollerances can technically go longer, the manual will tell you whats optimal, I woudlnt go longer than 4-5k miles, although this is acceptable on alot of new cars. Some new cars are approaching 7500 mile intervals int he manual.

if you want to stretch out the intervals to factory recommended, then make sure you use quality filters (whatever they use at the dealership shoudl be good, or wix:D ) and decent oil.How often should I change the oil for a 2005 Toyota Camry?oil sludge has been a problem with all Toyota and Lexus

engines because of too many miles in oil change intervals.

frequent oil changes are the best thing you can do to protect

your engine, plus your tires pressures are checked and the

whole car is given a good look-over. find a good local shop

and get to know the folks who own it. stay away from the

"goober lube" shops. your Toyota will love you back for many

years to come! How often should I change the oil for a 2005 Toyota Camry?
thats reasonable.

make sure you dispose of the old stuff properly.

pretty much 3000.

some oils i think are special and can last longer than that,

but your average oil is 3000 mi.

make sure you check plugs and stuff

gaps,

gauges,

stuff like that.
Toyota recommends oil and filter changes at 3,850 miles

for your Camry. How often should I change the oil for a 2005 Toyota Camry?
didnt your dealer tell you? i am a new Toyota owner to and the first one should be done after 5000miles and 3000 after that
every 3,000 to 4,000 miles.
Look in your manual, but I'm gonna assume it's 3K miles or 3 months.
that should be fine
