How well does 2009 Honda Fit interior do against rain or spills?

Moving into Seattle, and thinking about buying the 2009 Honda Fit, but the cloth trim for the seats concern me. I wouldn't want to buy a car that would start to smell moldy once it rains.

Also, clearly, I wouldn't be spilling coffee on the seats on purpose, but with leather seats, coffee spills might be less concerning.

If you've driven a 2009 Honda Fit, or just know a lot about it, please help! Thanks! How well does 2009 Honda Fit interior do against rain or spills?Well, the rain will be kept out of any new car, and Hondas are particularly airtight (pops my ears if someone slams the hatch when all the windows are up). I can't help you about the leather, we have cloth seats, and I hate leather, so you have to weigh your own opinions and values on that count. Our dog is in our car a lot, and we carpool an hour (one way) twice a week with coffee drinkers, and have had no problems so far. The cup holders are all secure (I love the backseat ones, especially), and the advent of insulated, capped mugs seems to do a good enough job of keeping coffee spills in check.

[EDIT - I wanted to add, this carpool has been going on for 3 months now, and there have been no spills in any of the vehicles, not just ours. I guess your worry depends on the hygiene and/or clutz-factor of your intended driver or riders...]
