Is it true that Toyota Corollas are selling above list price?

A buddy told me that because of production delays that dealers are charging a premium on some Toyota models. Is that true?Is it true that Toyota Corollas are selling above list price?not just corollas all toyotas honda nissan infiniti lexus acura subaru mitsubishi mazda are....

why because of earthquake, decreased demand in cars, parts so with more demand and less supply prices go upIs it true that Toyota Corollas are selling above list price?
Yes, they are selling for over the list price because of the situation in Japan. Other car manufactures are following the same path too (Honda, Subaru, Nissan, etc). Once the plants are up and running the prices will stabilize and dealers will be willing to work on deals. Also keep in mind that these cars DO NOT CONTAIN RADIO ACTIVE MATERIAL! Do you really think that ANY car manufacture would be willing to risk the law suits if they send radioactive cars over here?

EDIT. Once again The Flaming Raven is spewing his "Anti-Toyota Campaign" across the YAHOO Answers web site. It's pretty funny to read ALL his answers about how Toyota's are the worst things in the world and his thinking that God created the greatest cars on earth....The American car is so delusional. If The Flaming Raven would get his facts straight, he would know that his beloved American cars have parts made in Japan and that's why the small Chevy and GMC trucks are going to have their production slowed because of parts issues. I find it interesting that The Flaming Raven is a top contributor for the Toyota category but yet all he does is bad mouth Toyota. Is it true that Toyota Corollas are selling above list price?Yes it's true and laugh all ya want fool but radiation is even in most food and water in Japan. Anything that leaves the Hiroshima, Nagasaki and now the Nuclear plant area will cause cancer due to radiation.

The half-life of uranium 238 is 4.5 billion years. That means that within that time half and ONLY half of the remaining uranium 238 will have decayed.

Still think the safety issues are funny Mr. Fool???? Anything leaving those areas for the next 9 BILLION years will be effected. Since you lack a brain I will make is simple, the half life is 4.5 billion years so the total span of time that things leaving those areas will be radioactive is 9 BILLION years!!!

Now go to school please so you don't look so stupid!!
Flaming Raven = Michael = just me = Support Arizona Law

Why have you answered this question 4 times??? are you that desperate.

that's not true, half life radiation cannot last 4.5 billion years in open environment if radiation spreads it could just eventually fade away. Besides radiation hasn't even spread yet, their may have been leaks. Just think what would happen if america had an earthquake like that and what would happen if our nuke plants were in trouble, are we prepared? UHHH Lets get whopper with onions....Is it true that Toyota Corollas are selling above list price?Yes since they can't get them anymore due to problems in Japan. I don't recommend buying a radioactive car though. Radiation causes cancer in ALL classes and nothing radioactive can be made non-radioactive. Radiation contamination lasts over a thousand years on what ever it gets into.Is it true that Toyota Corollas are selling above list price?
Yeah...they're just flying off the showroom floors...and off the roads!

hehehehehe.

List price is basically invoice and most cars don't sell for invoice price anyway.
Yes it is. And those who are not, soon will be as the nuclear crisis gets worse in Japan. Is it true that Toyota Corollas are selling above list price?
I think gas price spikes are driving up the prices of most fuel efficient cars. It has in the past and probably will in the future.

One of the other posts has a lot of misinformation about radiation. Radiation of the sort Japan is having trouble with is not permanent and is readily washed off. Radiation has to be very intense to convert atoms in otherwise stable materials into radioactive isotopes - it's a matter of energy availability. The principle contamination problem they are having at present is from Iodine-131, a major product of uranium decay, which has a half-life of about 8 days. In three months the I-131 will be below 1/1000th the current levels as a result of decay. In a year the I-131 level will be less than 1/1,000,000,000,000 of the current level. All in all, the misinformation and scare tactics in that post are even more misguided than his usual fare.

The other post with the nonsense about U-238 is even more ignorant. The long half-life of U-238 comes not from its radioactivity but because U-238 is not significantly radioactive. All isotopes of all atoms have a half-life (although many are not determinate because the isotopes are too stable to evaluate) and the longer the half-life the more stable the isotope. It's a simple concept.
Yup. I bet "The Flaming Raven" Is crying secretly because Toyota is doing okay now.
