How do I replace the trunk light in a 2007 Toyota Camry?

My trunk light won't go off, and I want to pull it out. My fingers are too big to grab the bulb and pull it out of the socket. What is a safe way to get the bulb out? Or how can I shut off the electrical to the trunk light bulb? I don't want this to drain my battery. Thanks! How do I replace the trunk light in a 2007 Toyota Camry? How do you know it wont go off?? Are you able to pull the rear seats down and look into the trunk when the trunk is closed to verify it wont turn off?

If thats the case, the trunk light switch is probably damaged or stuck. Check with your dealer if you have warranty on a car that new, maybe they can repair that for free.

Look for a knob around the hinges or trunk lining that would actuate when the trunk was closed. Jiggle it a little and maybe spray some wd40 to loosen it up. If that doesnt work, you need a new switch.

If all you want to do is turn it off for now, remove the housing and disconnect the wiring to the bulb or use a pair of small pliers to pull it out
