I am trying to persuade my parents into saving more money by buying a Honda civic. I showed them that the gas mileage is better for the civic. Also the starting price is 6,000 dollars cheaper. The last thing I can do to convince them is the safety. How does the safety compare? Are they even in the same class for size? Please help me convince my parents to buy a civic and not an accord! Is the 2010 Honda civic in the same size class as the 2010 Honda accord?don't listen to the first guy, he's a moron. the Civic is a compact, the Accord is a mid-size. the Civic has cheaper insurance and better gas mileage, it used to be a target for theft 10 years ago but not so much recently. as for safety, it may not be as safe as an Accord, but it will still save you in an accident. I walked away from a head-on collison while driving a 2000 Civic, that should be good enough for anything. Is the 2010 Honda civic in the same size class as the 2010 Honda accord?
Civic is a sub-compact and is smaller, less safe, more often stolen, and costs more to insure. Is the 2010 Honda civic in the same size class as the 2010 Honda accord?Th Honda Civic is in the compact category, smaller than the Accord's mid size category. Safety wise, the Accord would be much safer due to its size and safety features. The one thing you must look at carefully when buying a vehicle, is the resale value. Here's where the Accord will definitely clobber the Civic. The Accord will hold its value much better than the Civic. So, while the Civic may initially be cheaper to purchase, after 5 to 7 years, the Civic won't have much resale or trade-in value, while the Accord in the same period will likely still be worth nearly 50% of retail value. That's why the Accord was the number one selling vehicle in the US for years! Sorry I couldn't really agree with your decision about the Civic versus the Accord. Is the 2010 Honda civic in the same size class as the 2010 Honda accord?
no.. the civic is not in the same class as the accordIs the 2010 Honda civic in the same size class as the 2010 Honda accord? The accord is heavier duty. The civics have always been built flimsy. I saw where a prelude and a civic were racing and the prelude hit the civic and cut the civic in half. The civics have to be flimsy if they are bigger than a prelude and about 1,000 lbs lighter. Is the 2010 Honda civic in the same size class as the 2010 Honda accord?
Well here is some amo to help with your argument. If anything happens to a civic your always going to be able to by parts for it cheap at any parts store. Accords cost a little more to maintain. Civics are better on gas. When it comes to safety Accord takes the cake. Civics are smaller in size. Ultimately, I would go with a civic. I have a civic si and not for nothing, i have smoked accords on a regular basis. From a technical standpoint, accords are just bigger versions of civics. ..... BUT IF ALL ELSE FAILS, TAKE THE ACCORD AND ONCE THE TITLE IS IN YOUR NAME TRADE IT IN FOR A CIVIC!!! I recommend the Si model. ;)
