What engine comes stock in a 1993 honda Civic?

I'm putting a new engine in a friends car and he has a 1993 honda civic but doesn't know what type of engine is in it. I don't normally work with foreign cars so this isn't really my area of expertise but i can change a motor out.What engine comes stock in a 1993 honda Civic?depending on the country you are and what model(lx,ex,si). You can look at the side the block and it's stamped; most likely D15xx.What engine comes stock in a 1993 honda Civic?id say it is a d15b8. but look on the side of the block. it will have the type of engine it is.
