I have a 2000 Honda Accord that I've had since '99. Other than the usual maintenance (oil changes) I wanted to know if there was something else I should do to the car to keep it in good condition. I plan to keep it for a few more years and want to make sure it stays in good working order. What maintenance should I do to my Honda Accord?Your doing good so far you should have the transmission serviced at 100,000 miles the o2 sensor at 100,000 the air filter at every 3rd oil change unless where you drive is dusty or dirty then it needs to be changed a little more often but other than that you are doing goodWhat maintenance should I do to my Honda Accord? The best thing that you can do for it is keep changing the oil every 3000 miles. If it has over 70,000 miles I recommend you change the timing belt as well. You have a car that will last, so just do the basics if $ doesn't allow. What maintenance should I do to my Honda Accord? At 9 years old you need to change your tranny oil and filter.
All filters must be changed on a regular basis.
You might want to consider getting a computer scope done.
Other then these your mechanic will advise you.
The car should run for another 10 years. Honda's are very reliable. What maintenance should I do to my Honda Accord?
tune up, Brakes, Get Rotors turned, Get radiator Flushed, get tires rotated and Balanced, Wheel alignment, put some gas treatment in the gas tank only when u fill up the car and use this once a month and when doing this fill up the car with a high grade fuel octane (93)and then put the treatment in... that's really it ...If u maintain this stuff your Honda will last a very long time cause they are good cars...
