I have a 2000 Honda Civic. How do I get the "radio code" to get my stereo to work without taking it out?

I recently replaced my car's battery and it knocked out the stereo. Honda has a code that I need to get it working again. I can't get this code from Honda or from my manual. Anyone have a solution? Honda now has a link where you can get the code for free,, on-line. You will need the VIN, and the serial number (can be read from the front display on newer cars). They finally provided free directions and relief to valid owners!

As everyone has said, dealership will get you the code.
check under the ash tray.alot of times honda will put the code somewhere inside the car.
